Morning Kindergarteners – When there is a two-hour delay at Henniker Community School, there is no AM Kindergarten. Parents can drop off their child at white Birch Center any time after 6:30 AM and we will care for your child until 2:45pm and then bring them back down to the school for the afterschool program. If your child does not attend the After School Program, please be sure to make arrangements to pick up your child by 3:00pm.
Afternoon Kindergarteners – Nothing changes when there is a two-hour delay, drop your child off at White Birch in the morning as usual
What care is provided at the end of the school year?
We don’t know until late in the spring when the actual last day of school will be. Once we find out, we plan for our summer camp to start the following week. If there are several days between the last day of school and the end of that week, we provide full day care at the school and bill for those days like we would if it were a vacation day or week.
Why do you bill in advance?
Every child care operation must have a list of children in the program first thing on Monday morning. We must know who is expected and have a list ready to go for drop off and sign in. That list is generated from our child care management software which, in turn, uses invoicing to determine what children are scheduled for that coming week.
My child has food and other allergies. Should I be concerned?
Your enrollment packets asks specifically about allergies and other medical issues so that our staff can be prepared to care for your children. We also encourage parents to communicate directly with our Director regarding any concerns you may have.
