New Hours of Operation

New Hours of Operation

July 16, 2020

Dear Early Learning and Extended Education Program Parents/Guardians,

We are happy to let you know that we will be extending our operating hours beginning on Wednesday, August 5th. The hours for families will begin at 8:15 a.m. and go until 4:30 p.m. Meaning, drop offs can begin at 8:15 a.m. and all pick-ups must be made by 4:30 p.m. each weekday.

Food service was our first step towards increasing services to our Childcare Program families. Now that the food program is under way, our next step is extending our operating hours. We understand that this change in hours is not back to our normal operating hours as they were in March, however, this change in hours will help us to support our staffing challenges and allow us the ability to clean and sanitize the center effectively.

As parents continue to return their children to child care it is essential that we grow our operation safely. Extending operating hours will be a relief for all parents and we want to acknowledge that we know it is important to you.

We will continue to reassess the scheduling of our staff, the health and safety procedures within the center, and our operating hours. We are looking at the potential to resume a normal schedule of operations by the school year start or as close to it as possible.

Lastly, please note that White Birch Center will be CLOSED on Monday, August 3rd and Tuesday, August 4th. These closures were one of the many revised conditions made in order for our center to reopen and care for children. Thank you for your understanding and as always, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.

All the best,

Leanna Lorden

Director of Children’s Programs

Meals Program is Returning!

Meals Program is Returning!

Dear Early Learning Program Parents and Guardians,

We are happy to let you know that we will be offering meals again beginning on Tuesday, July 7th. The menus for the summer will be simplified and incorporate more meals that are season friendly, allowing us to ramp up while keeping the meals interesting for children.

Food service will be the first step towards increasing services to our Childcare Program families. Once the food program is under way, our next step will be extending our operating hours.

Currently, we are open for childcare from 8:30AM until 4PM and while we are happy to be open and able to provide care, we also have had to adjust to new standards for care in the COVID-19 environment which include screening at drop off and pick up, limited classroom size, and regular sanitizing.

As parents continue to return their children to child care it is essential that we grow our operation safely. Extending operating hours will be a relief for all parents and we want to acknowledge that we know it is important to you. Like many of you, we are eagerly awaiting word from Henniker Community School as to their fall reopening plans so we can be ready for the school year as well.

As we continue to increase enrollment over the next month, and with the knowledge of what late summer and the fall will bring, we will be reassessing the scheduling of our staff, the health and safety procedures within the center, and our operating hours.

Thank you for your understanding and as always, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.

All the best,

Leanna Lorden

Director of Children’s Programs

WBC – Emergency Child Care Program

WBC – Emergency Child Care Program

May 29, 2020

Dear Early Learning Parents and Guardians,

We are happy to announce that our Board voted on May 21, 2020 to open for child care as an Emergency Child Care Program (ECCP) starting on June 1st. This means that we can open and must also follow strict State of NH ECCP guidance.

As an ECCP, we have limited capacity based on rules not allowing more than 10 individuals (children and adults) together in a room. There are also many other changes which are included in the files listed on our Emergency Child Care Program page. All families attending will be required to review and sign off on a form that indicates that they understand our new rules.

At this time we are currently at full capacity. For more information on care please contact our Director of Children’s Programs, Leanna Lorden at 603-428-7860 or leannal@whitebirchcc.org

You’re Invited!

You’re Invited!

Who: Your Family!

What: Child Care Provider Appreciation Parade

When: Friday, May 8, 4:30-5 PM

Where: White Birch Center Parking Lot

Why: Friday, May 8, 2020 is Child Care Provider Appreciation Day. We know how much our Child Care Staff miss each other and all our families and what better way to show our appreciation and to say hello to one another than a Drive Through Parade?!

But you said “parade”, what does that mean?

Our staff is planning on standing in our parking lot (socially distanced, standing at least 6 feet apart from one another) so that they can wave to you all as you parade through our White Birch parking lot in your vehicles, coming in through the “in” entrance and exiting through the “out” exit. YOU ARE THE PARADE!

Please RSVP to Leanna Lorden at leannal@whitebirchcc.org if you are planning to attend! Also, don’t hesitate to get creative with car decorations and signs!

The small print: Henniker has been hit by COVID-19 but it has been limited. We need to make sure that we keep it that way.  Our staff will be following physical distancing guidelines and wearing personal protective equipment.  If your kids haven’t seen people in masks and gloved, you should consider how they’ll respond.  We ask that you remain in your vehicle at all times.
