Dear White Birch Center Staff, Families and Program participants,

Thank you all for your support and understanding during these past 5 months. Our priority is the safety of our families, participants, and employees. We have been doing our best to operate safely, provide early learning services for families, and follow the extensive guidelines for Emergency Child Care Providers.

When we close a classroom, or the entire center, it is because we are following best practices and guidelines regarding safe operation during the Covid-19 pandemic. Often there are many avenues of cross over due to siblings in multiple classrooms, and White Birch staff members also having children in our programs. This is what led to our most recent center-wide closing.

While we do not believe that the children who recently presented symptoms have Covid-19, we must stay diligent with the recommendations set forth by the CDC and our state’s guidance documents, and we will know more over the next 48 to 72 hours as test results come in. We hope to be open again by Monday, August 10th.

I encourage our parents to frequently visit our webpage and follow our center wide notifications via One Call NOW for up to date and accurate information. It is important to get your information directly from White Birch. False rumors can easily be disseminated which leads to unnecessary confusion.

We fully understand how frustrating it is for parents and staff as we react to each day’s developments as they are presented to us. We take each closure seriously and know that it impacts your lives dramatically. We would not close a classroom or the center if it was not necessary.

Thank you again for your continued support and positivity as we strive to do what is best for all our center members.

Sincerely,

Leanna Lorden
