Toddlers (12-24 mos)
The White Birch Center for Early Learning is a year round child care program for children ages one to five years old. As a License Plus designated child care center, White Birch is committed not only to quality child care for children ages 1 to 5 but also to early learning. Our early learning center also includes a kindergarten wrap around program to accommodate families who need child care and also have children in the morning or afternoon kindergarten program at Henniker Community School. White Birch Center has two playgrounds, a one- and two-year-old playground and a three- to five-year-old playground. All ages have individual classrooms located in the same building.
Megan has lived in Henniker for over 10 years, but grew up in Weare, NH. She graduated from NHTI in 2017 with her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. Before working at White Birch Center she worked in child care for four years and then became the Site Director for school-age children at New Morning Schools. In her free time she enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with her family and doggies!
Kayla graduated from Hillsborough-Deering high school in 2013, and initially went to NHTI to pursue a career in Nursing. During this time Kayla was a nanny and realized her passion was in the Early Childhood field, and came to White Birch to work in the Toddler classroom until she had her son, Ryder in January 2016. Kayla returned to White Birch in the summer of 2017 as an assistant teacher in the Pre-K and is now an associate teacher in the Toddler classroom.
Megan started working at White Birch in the Fall of 2017. She is a long time resident of Henniker, attending White Birch back in 1995. She has a three year old son who is now also at White Birch. Megan graduated from the University of Vermont in 2013 with her Bachelors Degree in Athletic Training. She is a Certified Athletic Trainer. After having her son, she decided to pursue a career in Real Estate and now has her Real Estate License with Keller Williams Lakes & Mountains Realty. Megan enjoys spending time with her family, playing hockey, and doing DIY projects.
Dana is a substitute teacher at White Birch. She is a 1988 Graduate Of New England College with a major in English, Psychology and Early Childhood Education. She began working at White Birch in 1989 as the lead teacher for the toddler program. In 1996 she began the process of adopting the first of her two daughters. She then became a stay at home mother during that time and later on as her daughters grew older her and her husband Adam created and ran their own family centered surf school based at Jenness beach in Rye, New Hampshire. Now that their youngest daughter is in College, Dana is happy to once again return to the incredible White Birch Community which is and has always been dear to her heart. It brings Dana incredible joy to watch your children grow and learn. And she am so happy and honored to be a part of the team of your child's first teachers.
