Associate Teacher

Job Description

Progressive early education center in Henniker is looking for Associate Teachers to add to our positive, fun, and supportive team! Some duties include but are not limited to:

  • Observes all rules and regulations at White Birch Center and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.
  • Assesses each child’s developmental needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the White Birch Center’s curriculum and programming.
  • Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.

Qualifications: Applicant should be able to work with children all ages, but more specifically ages 3 to 5 years old. The ideal person must be kind, patient, dependable, responsible, and should have experience working with children. Must also have an Early Childhood/Education Degree or credits in a related field. CPR and First Aid certifications desired.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $9.00 to $11.00/hour

Required Education and Experience: Shall be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or general equivalency, and meet one of the following options:

  • A minimum of 9 credits in early childhood education from a regionally accredited college or university, including at least 3 credits in child growth and development.
  • A minimum of 1000 hours of supervised child care experience in a licensed child care program and documentation of successful completion of a 2-year vocational child care course.

Lead Toddler Teacher
