History

White Birch Center began as Crayon College, a cooperative preschool center, in 1974. Through the commitment and passion of founder, Lucia Evans, its doors opened as White Birch Community Center in 1982. As a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, White Birch has evolved over 30 years in its dedication to enriching lives throughout the greater Henniker area. Today, the community impact of White Birch Center is greater than ever as we strive to be a community leader in providing exceptional programs and services that support learning and active living for children, adults, and families.
